Ruth’s cancer diagnosis led to her death within a few weeks, just months before her 50th birthday.  Her sudden passing was life-changing for her partner Andrew, treasured children Erin (9) and Jack (5), her mum Joy and sister Marie.

It has also left a hole for many other family members, friends and colleagues who will miss her gentle support, kindness, care and love in their lives.

Ruth was always behind the camera, out of the limelight, so her family do not have too many photos of her so her friends would like to compile some photos and memories into a booklet for the children as they get older.

Maggie’s Nottingham has supported Ruth’s family and will continue to do so over the difficult years ahead.  They have therefore chosen to support the charity in Ruth’s memory to ensure other families receive both practical and emotional help following a similar cancer diagnosis.
